New Westminster police say man charged with sex offences may have other victims

NEW WESTMINSTER (NEWS 1130) — Police in New Westminster are trying to find out if more youth have been victimized, after a man was charged with several sexual offenses earlier this month.
Marcio Leite Cerquinho was arrested on May 17, and has been charged with sexual Interference, invitation to sexual touching, and sexual exploitation.

Sgt. Sanjay Kumar says investigators think it is possible there are victims who have not yet been in contact with police.
“If parents or guardians believe youth in their care have been unsupervised in the presence of Mr. Leite Cerquinho, and may be victims of sex-related offenses, they’re asked to call the Major Crime Unit,” says a statement.
