Woman stabbed inside Vancouver courtoom

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – A woman was stabbed inside a Vancouver courtroom Tuesday morning.

Vancouver police say it happened around 10 a.m. at the courthouse downtown along Smithe Street.

“A female suspect entered the courtroom and attacked another woman,” an email from the VPD reads.

It appears the two women involved had been caught up in some kind of long-running dispute.

Police say the woman who was stabbed was taken to the hospital and is in stable condition.

The other woman has been arrested, with police adding “charges will be forthcoming.
