Pedestrian in Abbotsford struck by car and killed

ABBOTSFORD (NEWS 1130) — A pedestrian has been killed after being hit by a car in Abbotsford Friday night.
Police were called to the area of Clearbrook Road and Coral Avenue around 10:00 p.m., where they tried to save a female pedestrian.
“Sadly, lifesaving efforts were unsuccessful,” police said, and she was confirmed dead on the scene.
The driver is cooperating with police, and the investigation continues.
Anyone with dashcam footage is asked to call police at 604-859-5225.

“The APD would like to remind the public to be aware of road conditions and drive accordingly, and further remind pedestrians to wear bright or reflective clothing and use caution when walking on busy highways and roads,” police added in an email statement to NEWS 1130.
