B.C. could relax COVID-19 restrictions, announcement coming Monday

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – B.C. could be one step closer to re-opening later this week.

Due to announce phase two of the provincial re-start plan Monday, government officials will be holding a press conference at 10:30 a.m.

The new step includes possible indoor and outdoor gatherings of up to 50 people, with safety protocols in place.

Indoor organized events may include movie theatres and live theatre.

The move could also include the removal of provincial travel restrictions and road-blocks.

As of Friday, 75 per cent of adults in B.C. have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.
