Two people in North Delta stabbed in targeted, isolated incident

DELTA (NEWS 1130) — One person has been arrested by Delta Police after two people were stabbed Sunday morning.

Just after 4 a.m., police were called to a “disturbance” at Gunderson Park in North Delta.

At the scene, officers found two victims who had been stabbed — one with serious non-life-threatening injuries and the other with “believed to be minor” injuries.

“The suspect has been located and arrested and is currently in police custody,” Sgt. James Sandberg, spokesperson for the Delta Police, says in a statement.

Police are calling the incident isolated and targeted, adding both people knew each other.

Police don’t believe the stabbing is connected to the ongoing Lower Mainland gang conflict.

All people involved are Delta residents.
