Two men stabbed near Surrey Central SkyTrain station

Two 25-year-old men have been treated for stab wounds following some sort of altercation at the Surrey Central bus loop this afternoon.

SURREY (NEWS 1130) — Two men are in the hospital after being stabbed near the bus loop at Surrey Central SkyTrain Station Friday afternoon.

Police tape went up in the area of 102A Avenue and University Drive around 3:30 p.m.

Mounties say they were called in by the BC Ambulance Service who reported two men were found with stab wounds.

“Both males were transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. Both victims are in stable condition,” says a statement from the Surrey RCMP.

The bus loop was closed for more than six hours while police investigated.

The suspect is described as a black male, who is 6’5” tall with a muscular build. He was wearing grey sweat pants and a black tank top.

“The suspect is currently outstanding and departed the scene via taxi prior to police attendance,” the statement continues.
