SURREY (NEWS 1130) — Surrey RCMP are investigating after a shooting between vehicles in Newton on Saturday afternoon.

Mounties received reports of several shots being fired into a vehicle with two people inside at the intersection of 128 Street and 60 Ave around 3 p.m.

Reports suggest that a white newer model Audi SUV drove past the victim’s red Dodge Caravan that was stationary at the time in the left turn lane. The driver of the white Audi drove past the victim’s vehicle and apparently proceeded to fire shots from the driver’s window into the passenger side of the van.

The suspect car continued southbound along 128 Street towards 56 Ave. Mounties say the suspect’s vehicle and occupants have not been found.

RCMP say one of the occupants of the Dodge Caravan sustained minor injuries from broken glass, however none of the occupants inside were struck by gunfire.

Police are asking if anyone has any information to contact Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502, or Crime Stoppers, if they wish to remain anonymous, at 1-800-222-8477 or www.solvecrime.ca
