SURREY (NEWS 1130) – A man has what are being described as potentially life-threatening injuries after a shooting in Surrey’s Whalley neighbourhood early Monday morning.

Mounties say officers received reports of a man who was hurt under the Pattullo Bridge just after 1 a.m. When they arrived, officers found the man had been shot.

It’s believed the shooting happened near the Brownsville Pub along Old Yale Road near Olsen Road.

The victim is known to police and investigators believe the shooting was targeted.

Witnesses or anyone who may have dash-cam footage from the area are being asked to come forward.
