Surrey house fire closes roads, downs power lines

SURREY (NEWS 1130) — Emergency crews were called to a house in Surrey Friday, after reports of a house fire.
At approximately 3:30 p.m., Mounties responded to a house in Whalley, at 132a Street in between 106a Ave and 105a Ave.
In a statement released by RCMP, police are asking drivers to stay away from the area, as power lines in the area have also been downed.

Road closures are now in place while Surrey Fire Service are on scene working to extinguish the fire.
Firefighters have confirmed the fire spread to a neighbouring house.

Affected roads are:
106A Avenue between 133 Street and 132 Street
132 A Street
105A Avenue to 108 Avenue
132 Street to University Drive
