VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) — A Vancouver brewery is hosting a “fitness activation” at Vancouver’s Jack Poole Plaza on Saturday and Sunday.
From calm, meditative yoga to pilates and high-intensity interval training, Granville Island Brewing is hosting the event on Saturday and Sunday that has 100 per cent of the proceeds going participating fitness studios and local businesses hit hard by COVID-19.
Brand Manager Marrissa Mill says people should expect a great time moving their bodies.
“We provide all the equipment and the super cool space with all of these amazing instructors from different fitness studios from all around town.”
Common Ground YVR, Jaybird, YYoga, F45 Beach District, Open Door Yoga, and Feel Good Everyday are participating in the event that runs July 24 and 25.
“[There’s] really something for everyone depending on what your fitness needs are.”
Mill says although they don’t have a fundraising goal in mind, the organizers hope to have 240 guests over the weekend.
“We have classes all from 10 a.m. until classes at 6pm on Saturday and Sunday.”
