Body found in Burnaby, IHIT suspects foul play

BURNABY (NEWS 1130) — Homicide investigators have been called in after a body was found near the Burnaby Lake Sports Complex.

Police were called to Darnley Street early Thursday morning, where they confirmed the discovery of human remains. Investigators believe the person was a victim of foul play.

No details have been released about the victim or how they died. The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has taken over the case.

If you were in the area of Darnley Street, including Norland and Kensington Avenue and saw anything suspicious between 10:30 p.m. Wednesday and early Thursday morning, you’re asked to call the police.
