Surrey shooting sends one man to hospital early Sunday

SURREY (NEWS 1130) — One man has been taken to hospital with gunshot wounds after a suspected targeted shooting in Surrey’s Guildford area just after midnight.
The severity of the victim’s injuries are not clear.
Surrey RCMP says they responded to reports of shots fired near 101 Avenue and 152 Street at 12:10 a.m. Sunday.
That intersection will be closed for hours while police gather evidence but so far, no arrests have been made.

Mounties say they are speaking to several witnesses to get more information but they add, in a release, the shooting is not believed to be random.
No word if this shooting is tied to the ongoing Lower Mainland gang conflict.
