Sea to Sky Highway re-opened after crash during morning

LIONS BAY (NEWS 1130) — A crash forced the closure of the Sea to Sky highway in both directions for about an hour Monday morning.
Highway 99 was closed at 6:30 a.m., north of Lions Bay, impacting traffic from Squamish and North Vancouver.
Though the route has been re-opened, drivers should be careful on the roads because they are wet from rain.

Over the weekend, a rainfall warning was in effect for the Lower Mainland, but as of Monday morning that was lifted.
Still, many routes remain slick and drivers are urged to drive to conditions, especially as winter is approaching daylight is dwindling during the morning commute.
