Ferry from Victoria to Seattle back in service after 17 months

The Victoria Clipper fast-ferry started sailing again Friday for the first time since March 2020.

It’s just getting started on a new four-day schedule, which will have sailings between Victoria and Seattle available over weekends and around holidays.

“We could not be more excited to reinstate our safe, trusted fast ferry service and to provide the core connection between Victoria and Seattle that so many have relied upon for travel over the past 35 years.”

It will be running at full capacity, holding 535 passengers, but all will be required to wear a mask. Travelers will be required to provide proof of vaccination within 72 hours of their planned arrival, and all U.S. citizens and Canadian permanent residents coming to Canada need to have been fully vaccinated for at least 14 days before crossing the border.
