Robyn Crawford

Assistant News Director

About Robyn

Robyn's Grade 3 report card said "talks too much in class." But little did her teacher know, Robyn would take this skill and turn it into a career years later. After high school, Robyn obtained a diploma in theatre. She eventually went on to complete a diploma in the Broadcast Journalism program at BCIT, but still considers herself a drama kid at heart. Before joining the incredible team at CityNews 1130, Robyn worked as a reporter and anchor at Global News Radio 980 CKNW. She also spent time as a traffic anchor at Vancouver's all-traffic radio station, AM730. She became a managing editor at CityNews in 2022, and has discovered a new love of helping and supporting new journalists discover their craft. When she is not running around the newsroom, Robyn enjoys cooking with her husband, exploring Metro Vancouver's breweries, and hiking with her miniature schnauzer, Phoebe.
