Celebrating its 27th Season in 2016, Bard on the Beach is one of Canada’s largest not-for-profit, professional Shakespeare Festivals. Presented in a magnificent setting on the waterfront in Vancouver’s Vanier Park, the Festival offers Shakespeare plays, related dramas, and several special events in two performance tents from June through September.
Bard’s 2012 hit show is back! It’s 1968 in Windsor, Ontario and Sir John Falstaff is set to seduce two wealthy women – until these merry wives get their sweet and hilarious revenge.
Bard presents a classic staging of Shakespeare’s great romantic tragedy, the story of two passionate young lovers whose happiness is destroyed by their families’ bitter feud.
