The largest single sport world championship in North American history, this event features 31 teams from around the world who will gather in Surrey to compete for gold.

Team Canada will enter the tournament as a medal contender, after winning gold in the PAN AM Games in 2015. Currently ranked number four in the world, fans can come cheer on our team in its quest for the podium!

Other teams competing at the World Championships include: Australia, China, France, Great Britain, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, USA and Venezuela, plus many more.

From revolutionary innovation on the frontier of change to innovations in policy and practice, Metro Vancouver’s 2016 Zero Waste Conference will ignite conversations and inspire action to accelerate waste prevention and circularity in Canada. Featuring leaders at the intersect of science, politics and economics, thought leadership and best practice from across the globe as well as our own backyard will be showcased. From cross-cutting discussions on culture, policy and the marketplace to in-depth sessions on food waste, repair and reuse, and the built environment, participants will leave inspired and equipped to forge new solutions and collaborations in support of a world without waste.

The most important event for the auto industry in British Columbia is returning for its 97th year as the best attended consumer show and automotive event in Western Canada! The Vancouver International Auto Show is gearing up for its best show yet returning to the Vancouver Convention Centre West on March 28- April 2!

 

Show favourites will once again be making a comeback this year, including the always-breathtaking exotics section. Luxury brands including Lamborghini, Ferrari, Rolls Royce, McLaren and Porsche will be showcased at the 2017 Show. Of course, the Auto Show isn’t just fun for adults. Parents can drop their children off at the Volkswagen Playcare Centre free of charge while they peruse the show floor—then pick them back up to show them the highlights. Or you can take them with you throughout the show and create an auto fan for life!
