St. Andrew’s United Church invites the public to attend its annual Teddy Bear Picnic on Saturday, June 18th from 10:30a.m. – 2p.m., rain or shine, at St. Andrew’s Park in North Vancouver (St. George’s Ave & 11th street). The event is free and features a variety of entertainment for everyone, including clowns, music, storytelling, face painting, cookie decorating and a bouncy castle!

The largest single sport world championship in North American history, this event features 31 teams from around the world who will gather in Surrey to compete for gold.

Team Canada will enter the tournament as a medal contender, after winning gold in the PAN AM Games in 2015. Currently ranked number four in the world, fans can come cheer on our team in its quest for the podium!

Other teams competing at the World Championships include: Australia, China, France, Great Britain, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, USA and Venezuela, plus many more.

Thousands of people will celebrate recovery from addiction at Recovery Day BC on September 9th, The Street Festival features live music, a kids zone, vendors, food trucks, a street circus, and 50 mental health and wellness recovery booths. Everyone is welcome!

This is a substance-free, wicked-awesome and family-friendly event all in one. Recovery Day BC is a celebration, a rally, a memorial for those lost, and a tool to raise awareness for recovery while reducing the stigma of addiction recovery.

Come Celebrate with us 1 pm to 5 pm at 6th st and 6th ave in New Westminster BC.
