Vancouver Canucks 50/50 raises relief funds for Ukraine

Vancouver Canucks fans have joined efforts to help support Ukraine amid the Russian invasion.

They came out in full force, raising $1.5 million in the 50/50 draw Wednesday.

The winner’s share is $751,613, with remaining proceeds set to go to the Red Cross.

“Funds raised from this 50/50 super jackpot will enable the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement to respond to the heightened needs for families and those in distress in Ukraine,” the team said on Tuesday.
